D1 Arrival in Hanoi

A driver will be waiting for you at the end of the day at Hanoi airport. It will take you to your hotel in the center of the capital.

D2 Hanoi, a thousand year old garden

This morning you will have the knowledge of your Tour guide who will pick you up for your first day of discovery in Vietnam dedicated to the visit of Hanoi.

You will discover the main monuments and attractions of the city: the West Lake and Tran Quoc Pagoda, the Thang Long Citadel, The Temple of Literature. In the evening, you will attend to the traditional water puppet show water before cycling a few streets of the neighbourhood of 36 corporations.

Day 3 Beginning of the cruise on the legendary Halong Bay

You will leave the effervescent capital for Halong Bay by taking the road along the Red River Delta. You board a traditional junk where a cabin is reserved for you for the night. The humble junk engages in the karst pitons that obediently spread from one another allowing it to pass before gathering behind it. The unique scenery of the bay is offered to your eyes in all their grandeur. Possibility of sailing in sea kayak during the cruise.

Day 4 Night train to Hue

After breakfast, the boat will continue to make its way through thousands of sugar loaves emerging from the turquoise waters. Nomadic fishing populations live in the bay and gather there in floating villages. Returning to the mainland, your driver will take you back to Hanoi. Enjoy some free time before heading to the train station for your overnight train to Hue.

Day 5: Visit Hue, Imperial City

Your guide will welcome you upon your arrival at Hue station. This day will be devoted to the visit of the Royal City, whose ramparts show the influence of French architects who came in the luggage of Cardinal d’Adran, then that of the pagoda of the old celestial lady and later in the after -midi to an excursion to Tam Giang lake to meet the local fishermen.

Day 6: Cruise on the perfume river and road to Hoi An, old commercial harbor 

You will embark on a junk that will take you to the Mausoleum of Tu Duc, the largest in the vicinity of the former imperial capital. You will then take the road in the direction of the South. Shortly after you leave, you stop at the mausoleum of Minh Mang, the second emperor of the Nguyen dynasty. Then you pass through Lang Co and the Cloud Pass, where you will enjoy a break to contemplate the view.

You will then arrive in Hoi An in the middle of the afternoon. You will find on foot the influences of Chinese, Japanese and French in the architecture of the old town, which was since the 15th century a prosperous port located on the roads of the silk trade, where wealthy merchants set up their trading post.

Day 7: Free day in Hoi An

Free day before your transfer to the airport and your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 8: The forest of Xeo Quyt, the house of a mandarin and Sadec, former colonial city

Your vehicle and guide will pick you up at your hotel to take you to the Mekong Delta.

You stop en route to the Xeo Quyt Forest, home to hundreds of species of plants and two hundred species of wildlife.

You will then go to Cai Be, where you will discover the local floating market before going to meet the local craftsmen, in particular in a brickyard.

You will then discover the hamlet of Phu An for the beauty of the typical landscape of the delta. You will then take the Sadec road. The city is a kind of small Venice, with its many canals. You will disembark to visit the Nha Co, home of Huynh Thuy Lè, better known as Marguerite Duras’ lover, a Cao Dai temple and a garden of Bonzai. You will resume your itinerary to Can Tho where a family is waiting for you for the night.

Day 9: The floating market of Cai Rang

You will get on board a sampan to visit the market of Cai rang then discover on the islets some orchards, gardens, pagodas and the daily life of its inhabitants. You will get to the airport to take a flight for Phu Quoc.
